I am a retired teacher after working in the classroom for over 20 years. I have taught all the subjects and have experience with children in grades K-9. I also have worked with the "gifted"child in addition to all other ability levels.
Experience
My expertise is in essay writing. I have a state endorsement in Language Arts and Social Studies. Besides full-time teaching, I have over 10 years of tutoring. I love teaching, and it is my hope to instill a love for learning. I believe in positive reinforcement in promoting risk-taking and raising self-esteem. For 2 consecutive years, my third grade students were recognized for achieving the highest writing scores in Illinois. (on the ISAT test)
